چکیده

We have employed Gd55Co30NixAl15−x (x = 10, 5 and 0) amorphous microwires as a model system to unravel the impact of multiple magnetic interactions on magnetism magnetocaloric behavior in Gd-alloy microwire systems. Our study shows that addition RKKY ferromagnetic (FM) interaction (Gd-Gd), antiferromagnetic (AFM) (Gd-Co, Gd-Ni) coexist contribute response system. The dilution effect Al element FM Gd-Gd is responsible for decrease Curie temperature (TC), whereas increase saturation magnetization (MS) originated from reduced AFM Gd-Ni interaction. A thorough analysis critical exponents suggests presence hinders exhibit long-range order below TC. Adjusting these shown preserve large refrigerant capacity (RC) while tuning TC over wide range, which desirable active refrigeration.

ESR studies of (CH3)2CHNH3CuCl3: Ferromagnetic- dominant alternating Heisenberg chains with ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic interactions

Ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic (F-AF) alternating Heisenberg chains with S = 1/2 can be regarded as Haldane systems when the ferromagnetic exchange interaction is much stronger than the antiferromagnetic one. That is, an energy gap between the singlet ground state and the triplet excited state is expected at T = 0K. In such a system, spins behave as 1/2 at high T where no short-range order...

Anisotropic Magnetocaloric Effect and Magnetic Order in Antiferromagnetic Gd2InGe2

We investigated the transport, thermal and magnetic properties of antiferromagnetic (TN = 45 K) Gd2InGe2. Magnetization measurements under applied magnetic field, oriented along different crystallographic directions, were used to extract the anisotropic magnetocaloric effect. We also measured magnetization under pulsed field up to 45 T. From the analysis of the electrical transport and magnetiz...

Ferromagnetic-antiferromagnetic transition in „La-R...4Ba2Cu2O10

Cuprate La-R 4Ba2Cu2O10 shows ferromagnetic to antiferromagnetic phase transition by replacing La ions with rare earth R=Nd, Sm, Eu, and Gd ions at low temperature. We propose that the transition is caused by a competition between antiferromagnetic superexchange interaction of Cu spins via La ions and ferromagnetic superexchange interaction due to Hund’s rule coupling of spins of holes on oxyge...

Asymmetric reversal modes in ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic multilayers.

Experimentally an asymmetry of the reversal modes has been found in certain exchange bias systems. From a numerical investigation of the domain state model evidence is gained that this effect depends on the angle between the easy axis of the antiferromagnet and the applied magnetic field. Depending on this angle the ferromagnet reverses either symmetrically, e.g., by a coherent rotation on both...
